Born and raised in Rochester, New York it was apparent at a very early age that this only child had an artists touch. He possessed an outgoing personality and showed signs of being a bit of a daredevil, never walking away from trying new things or meeting new people.

As the years went by, this creativity reared itself in many arena's ranging from building "chopper" bicycles at age 10 to playing the drums in a rock/metal band when he was 18. It was participation in this band with his childhood friends and the drive to "make it" that he found that his artistic side stretched even further. He designed the band's logo, flyers, backdrops, T-shirts and tape covers. And let's not forget the tattoo(s) that every self-respecting band member absolutely must sport.

It became common place for those who saw what he could do to prod him to do something with this incredible talent. He started to hone his painting skills as a self-taught airbrush artist. Painting anything on everything! His journey took him to Memphis, where he landed his first job painting in a mall shop. Then, to Florida where he experimented with paint, surface, and subject matter. After a nine month apprenticeship with a talented artist there, Shane started Air Borne Art studio in 1997.

Next stop, Ohio where he asked his girlfriend of many years to marry him and ran a successful art business. All things were falling into place when in 1998 his now wife was transferred to Atlanta, GA. Knowing that Shane could take his art business anywhere they moved. He settled in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia where he, his wife, two sons and two four legged beasts currently reside. It was here he found the market different than in Ohio so they decided to take his career to yet another a very different level.

After applying and being accepted Shane was enrolled in the renowned Portfolio Center's illustration program in 1999. There, he was introduced to new mediums and techniques. Taught by working professionals, Shane found the workload heavy, and chalenging for two years solid. He graduated in 2001 with an Illustration Certificate.

Shane is a well versed artist working in many mediums and styles. His attention to detail and work ethics show his commitment to creating great quality artworks.
